Look out for Groupon or Wowcher for another kind of deal or our Student ticket for Thursday and Sunday.

How do I pay for my tickets?

You can easy pay with your credit card

How does it work after I buy tickets online?

An e-ticket will be sent to you shortly. You have to present the ticket at the event either on your phone or print this out.

What do I do if I want to add more people to my tickets?

There are two option either book more tickets under the same name and our system will automatically allocate your seats together. This means you can book in the first bookers name but use all your details like address and cards details.

Alternatively send us an email to info@edinburgh-oktberfest.co.uk with all order IDs who should be seated together

What do I do if I want to sit with my friends who have different tickets?

Contact us via email. I there tickets are higher classes they will have to downgrade to sit with you or you upgrate your tickets to there kind of.

Is there an vegan / vegetarian option

Yes, we have both if you buy a ticket you just tell your service to change it on the day to vegan or vegetarian as you like.

Gift Shop

Can I buy tickets at door?

Yes, you can (subject to availability). Come early to be sure of a seat. Friday and Sat. might be sold out.

Can I rent Lederhosen and Dirndl at the event?

Yes, you can rent at the rate of £29/costume. Just ask at the souvenier shop.

And you can even buy them in the shop too 🙂

Can I buy souvenir Oktoberfest glasses?

Yes, at the gift shop

What can I buy from the gift shop?

We have great range of merchandise from clothing (dirndl, lederhosen, socks, hat, etc.) to decorations (flag, display truck, etc.) and souvenirs (glass, mustache, wig, sunglasses etc.)

Where is the event held?

What are the opening hours?

Thursday and Friday 16-23, Saturday Afternoon 11:00-16:30 and Saturday Evening 17:30-23:00, Sunday on 12:30-19:30

What happens at the event?

German music, dancing on the benches, singing along with thousands of revelers and of course wonderful beer!

What is the age limit for Oktoberfest?

18 and above. Except for Sunday, children are welcome to enjoy our Sunday lunch and Oktoberfest family experiences with their parents.

Are children not welcome?

Children are welcome only on Sunday for Sunday lunch. This is for protection of children.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

No, customers’ own food and drinks can not be brought to the Oktoberfest. However, you can order from the table or buy at the bar.

Is there an ATM at Oktoberfest?

Unfortunately, no. But you can pay by card. We accept all major cards except for American Express.

Is there a cloakroom at Oktoberfest?

Yes, there is a cloakroom at the reception. We charge a fee of £5 per item. Please note the storage is at your own risk please dont bring values.

Can the event be sold out?

Yes, it can so we advise you to book tickets or show up really early on the day to guarantee entry.

Food

What kind of food is served at Oktoberfest?

Traditional Oktoberfest delicacies such as Brezel (twisted-knot bread), Bratwurst (German specialty sausage), Schnitzel (deep-fried breaded pork cutlet), Hendl (chicken), Schweinebraten (German style roast pork).

Is vegetarian food available?

Yes, it is. Please ask our hostesses for more information.

Drinks

What kind of beer is served at Oktoberfest?

Specially-brewed Oktoberfest beer in Bavaria, Germany, 5% ABV. It is brewed by Bavaria Festbeer Brewery and transported in a gigantic tank.

Are there other types of drinks besides beer?

Yes! There is cider, wine and soft drinks.
